What are the requirements for renting a car?
Short answer
- A valid and EU-recognized driver's license.
- A valid ID.
- Age over 21 years and driver's license held for over one year to rent a vehicle with Enterprise (22 years of age and driver's license held for over two years to rent in the Canary Islands).
- Credit or debit card.
Long answer
- The essential items you will need to present at one of our branches when renting a vehicle with Enterprise are:
- A valid driver's license.
- For non-EU citizens, an international driver's license is required if the license is not in the Latin alphabet.
- A valid ID.
- International travelers must show their passport and where they are staying while in Spain.
- You must also be older than 21 years of age and have held a driver's license for over one year to rent a vehicle with Enterprise (22 years old and driver's license held for over two years in the Canary Islands).
- Credit or debit card.
